That’s why it says in the restaurant the “Ofenzimmer” is available exclusively for guests traveling with their dogs. Of course, your dog will also receive a bowl of fresh water at the table. The nearest bridge is located in Diebach, about a 20-minute walk from the Neumühle. Whether it’s an evening walk with your dog or a leisurely stroll through the woods and meadows—you can easily reach all the trails without a car.
If you’re looking for dog-friendly exploration routes in the wider area, it’s also worth checking out the surrounding region of Franconia. The heart of Lower Franconia, the picturesque city of Würzburg, is less than an hour away. Enjoy the view from the Marienberg Fortress with your four-legged companion and take a stroll along the Main River. Even closer—and no less beautiful—is Bad Kissingen. This spa town is known for its healing waters and beautiful parks. There’s hardly a better way to spend a summer day in a city than in the spacious and culturally rich Bad Kissingen.

The seemingly endless hiking trails lead through dense forests, fascinating moors, and across meadows full of wildflowers. The 950-meter-high Wasserkuppe is not only the highest mountain in Hesse but also a paradise for air sports enthusiasts. Glider pilots, skydivers, and paragliders are right at home here, creating a colorful spectacle in the sky all year round. The first-class view from the Wasserkuppe radar dome in all directions even extends as far as the Harz Mountains in good weather.
