Important information about the detour near Diebach
Diebach detour from 06.10.2025
Dear guests, please note the following information!
From 06.10.2025, construction work will begin in Diebach to upgrade the sewer network. Diebacher Straße will therefore be completely closed from the entrance to St.-Georg-Straße to the Häfnerstraße junction.
The signposted detour leads via St.-Georg-Straße, Heerweg and Häfnerstraße, but only one lane can be used and is regulated by traffic lights. This does not mean any major restrictions for cars. Simply follow the detour and you will reach the Neumühle as usual.
Guests traveling from Gemünden or from the A7 motorway via Hammelburg can alternatively drive via Obereschenbach or Untereschenbach and bypass the roadworks completely via a connecting road and get directly to the Neumühle.
The easiest way to the Neumühle
leads without delay via the route shown opposite. There is an asphalted dirt road on the main road 27 that takes you directly to the Neumühle past the construction site. This route is currently not only the fastest, but also the most scenic.
Alternatively, you can also drive through Diebach
However, depending on the time of day, you should expect a few minutes’ delay due to the detour and traffic lights.
