Geschichte des Hotels

Seit über 500 Jahren hat die Neumühle ihren idylischen Platz an der fränkischen Saale. Nur waren es früher keine Hotelgäste, die hier wohnten, sondern der Müller und Bauern, die hier mit ihren Familien gelebt und gearbeitet haben. Nach Ende des 2. Weltkriegs wurde der Mühlenbetrieb eingestellt und die Neumühle wurde der Natur überlassen. Sie wurde langsam und kontinuierlich immer mehr zu einer Ruine - einem Relikt aus alter Zeit, das keinen Nutzen mehr zu haben schien. Doch dann eines Tages fuhr der spätere Eigentümer mit dem Auto zufällig an der Neumühle vorbei und hat etwas in ihr gesehen: Eine Vision. Die Vision von einem magischen Ort. Einem Ort, zu dem Menschen aus dem ganzen Land und aus der ganzen Welt strömen - ganz einfach, weil er so schön ist. Und er ließ den Worten Taten folgen. Vor ca. 50 Jahren wurde angefangen zu bauen. Es wurden die besten Handwerker und Künstler aus dem Land gesucht, um die Neumühle in ihrem einzigartigen Fachwerk-Stil Stück für Stück aufzubauen - und um die alten Gemäuer wieder mit Leben zu füllen. Es entstand ein einzigartiger Wohlfühlort! Heute ist es genau diese Mischung aus Tradition, Pioniergeist und Fortschritt, welche die Neumühle auszeichnet. Hier trifft die Vergangenheit auf Moderne, Luxus auf Natur. Und natürlich Menschen auf Menschen. Das hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir 2022 bereits auf Platz 11 der beliebtesten Resorts weltweit bei HolidayCheck stehen. Und wir sind noch lange nicht am Ziel. Das Team der Neumühle besteht aus insgesamt 60 Mitarbeitern in den Abteilungen Empfang, Service, Housekeeping, Wellness und Technik. Das Durchschnittsalter liegt bei 34 Jahren.

Zimmer, Wellness & Restaurant

Das Gelände der Neumühle ist über 20.000 qm groß und liegt zwischen den Hammelburger Ortsteilen Diebach und Morlesau. Das Hotel hat insgesamt 31 Zimmer bei 9 verschiedenen Zimmerkategorien. Neben dem Hauptrestaurant, der "Scheune" gibt es noch einen Hof, in dem man essen und trinken kann sowie eine Liegewiese mit Bar. Neben den Hausgästen kommen auch Tagesgäste zum Restaurant oder in den Wellnessbereich.

History of the hotel

The Neumühle has had its idyllic location on the Franconian Saale for over 500 years. Only in the past it wasn't hotel guests who lived here, but millers and farmers who lived and worked here with their families. After the end of the Second World War, mill operations were stopped and the Neumühle was left to nature. It slowly and steadily became more and more of a ruin - a relic from ancient times that no longer seemed to be of any use. But then one day the future owner happened to drive past the Neumühle in his car and saw something in it: a vision. The vision of a magical place. A place that people from all over the country and all over the world flock to - simply because it is so beautiful. And he followed his words with actions. Construction began around 50 years ago. The best craftsmen and artists from the country were sought to build the Neumühle piece by piece in its unique half-timbered style - and to fill the old walls with life again. A unique feel-good place was created! Today it is precisely this mixture of tradition, pioneering spirit and progress that characterizes Neumühle. Here the past meets modernity, luxury meets nature. And of course people on people. This has ensured that we are already ranked 11th among the most popular resorts worldwide on HolidayCheck in 2022. And we are still far from reaching our goal.
